OUR TRAINING COURSES

We are proud to offer four (4) comprehensive courses designed to serve every level of the emergency services honor guard community—from those just beginning their journey to the most seasoned veterans, as well as drill trainers, training coordinators, deputy commanders, and commanders. Our curriculum is built to meet you where you are and help advance your skills with professionalism, precision, and purpose.

Attendance Prerequisites

Advanced Honor Guard Clinic

​

  • Minimum of five (5) years of recent, active Honor Guard experience with a fire, rescue, EMS or law enforcement Honor Guard unit; OR

  • Prior military service in the United States, Canada or the United Kingdom and Honor Guard or ceremonial experience.

 

Unit Commander School

  • Designed for current and future Honor Guard commanders, assistant commanders, team leaders and senior members responsible for leading or managing an Honor Guard program.

  • The Unit Commander School is a standalone course. Attendance at the Advanced Honor Guard Clinic is not required.

Course(s)

Advanced Honor Guard Clinic – March 1–3, 2027

​

  • An intensive 3 day, 24 hour program for experienced Honor Guard members who already understand the fundamentals and are ready to perform at a higher level.

  • Advanced ceremonial movement, formations and precision

  • Ceremonial silent drill utilizing minimal verbal commands

  • Advanced color guard, casket operations and adapting established procedures as conditions change

  • You know the fundamentals. Are you ready to perform them with elite precision, with minimal commands, knowing plans and atmosphere can change?

Unit Commander School – March 4–5, 2027

​

  • A comprehensive 2 day, 16 hour program for current and future Honor Guard commanders, assistant commanders, team leaders and senior members responsible for leading and managing an Honor Guard program.

  • Establishing and maintaining a successful Honor Guard program

  • Recruiting, training and developing team members

  • Working with agency administration, managing resources and planning major ceremonial operations.

​

These are two separate, standalone courses. Students may register for either course individually or attend both. 

 

Taking both courses allows students to develop the leadership skills necessary to be able to perform at a higher level and build a stronger Honor Guard program.
