Dr. Ramos Lake is a combat veteran and licensed clinical psychologist specializing in trauma treatment, psychological assessment, and military psychology.

She served 15 years as enlisted Air Force Security Forces conducting law enforcement and air base defense duties for military installations both at home and abroad. She deployed to Afghanistan and the Persian Gulf.

While attending undergraduate school at the University of Kansas, Dr. Ramos Lake was a forensic technician assisting with death investigations for the Shawnee County Coroner. She then went on to receive her Master’s degree in Forensic psychology from the University of Denver and culminated her education with a doctorate in clinical psychology from the same university.

Dr. Ramos Lake received her commission in the United States Air Force in 2019 and completed her clinical residency at Wright-Patterson Medical Center in Ohio. She served four years as an active-duty psychologist, three of which were spent as the clinical director for the Tinker Air Force Base Mental Health clinic. She is currently a Major in the United States Air Force Reserves.

Dr. Ramos Lake’s passion for working with first responders is derived from not only her personal experiences with the military and law enforcement, but also her experiences as the daughter of a firefighter.
